1. Cobblestone streets still exist...and are very hard to walk on in heels.

2. Forrest Gump sat in Savannah eating his box of chocolates. The bench is now in a museum, but you can go to the square where it was filmed.

3. If I ever had a shot at getting a statue or monument in my honor, it would be in Savannah. They are EVERYWHERE! There are 24 squares through out the city and each one has 2-4 monuments commemorating someone or something. There’s even a statue of a waving girl by the Savannah River, who for 40 years waved at the ships in hopes that her lover/sailor was coming home.

4. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was set in Savannah. Since I am not a big reader, I'm going to have to add this to Netflix.
5. The ratio of males to females is about 2:1 and you still might have trouble finding a cute guy.
6. The tradition continues... The hottie whistle may need to be retired but the pink bag and veil live on.

7. You can't make reservations to eat at Paula Deen’s Lady and Sons restaurant. You have to get in line a few hours ahead of time and get your name on their list. However, you can get take out from the southern buffet at any time. So that’s what we did. Everything was DELICIOUS... baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, peach cobbler, banana pudding! So good!! And we enjoyed it outside in the beautiful weather!!

Thanks to Cara and all her friends for making it a wonderful trip!!
